The Limited Warranty

1). Coverage period of Lain Audio Limited Warranty

Lain Audio provides a Limited Warranty for the Model One. Every customer who purchases a product from Lain Audio gets a one year limited warranty from the date of purchase. That date of purchase is defined as the date your amplifier was picked up by the shipping agent, plus an additional fifteen days. The fifteen days allows for the shipper to get you your amp and give you some time to get it set up. The end date of your warranty will be one year later, from the date of purchase.

2). The coverages/non-coverage of your Limited Warranty

All components that are integral to the operation of the amplifier, and not wear items, are covered by the Limited Warranty for one (1) year, as stated in the paragraphs above. The lists below will spell out what’s covered/not covered.

2.a). Covered by the Limited Warranty:
  • All transformers
    • Output, 2 each
    • Power, 1 each
  • Enhanced Fixed Bias & Power Supply board – EFB board, 1 each
    • to include the PC board and all components soldered or otherwise connected
  • Output board – PC 10, 2 each
    • to include the PC board and all components soldered or otherwise connected
  • Connectors
    • Binding posts (2)
    • power entry module, to include:
      • IEC male connector
      • power switch
      • fuse holder
    • RCA connectors (2)

2.b). Not covered by the Limited Warranty:

  • The Chassis
    • To include chassis,
      • paint discoloration, chipped paint
      • dents, dings, scrapes, scratches
      • distortion of chassis shape due to being dropped
  • The Chassis cover
    • To include chassis cover,
      • paint discoloration, chipped paint
      • dents, dings, scrapes, scratches
      • distortion of chassis cover shape due to being dropped
  • Miscellaneous (wear items)
    • Power cord, chassis bottom lid, fuses and feet (4)
  • Abuse
    • If when a product is return to Lain Audio for warranty repair, and it is determined that the product sustained a break down due to abuse, this warranty becomes Null and Void.

3). Vacuum Tubes

The Limited Warranty for the vacuum tubes sent with your amplifier is for ninety (90) days and begins on the warranty start date determined above.

These tubes are: preamp – ECC832, 2 each and output – EL84, 4 each.

4). Summary

This Warranty is not a bunch of legalese, and should come across to all those concerned, as a common sense explanation for what you get from Lain Audio when “stuff” happens.
